AmCham Health-Care Task Force was established in February, 2009, involving representatives from the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries as well as insurance and health-services providers. The group aims to establish constructive dialogue with the Ministry of Health and related institutions to promote and develop private sector contributions to improvements in the health-care system in Serbia.

Gabriel Dina, Country Manager of Merck, Sharp & Dohme Idea, Inc., was appointed as Task Force Manager by the AmCham Board of Governors.

The Health-Care Task Force's annual agenda includes:

  • Improving market access for pharmaceutical and medical devices, insurance and the medical services providers industry by improving regulatory transparency;
  • Promoting health awareness at the workplace;
  • Establishing a partnership with the Government of Serbia on specific health- care projects for improvement of the general population's health.
